President M. Russell Ballard’s visit to the Ballard Center was highlighted by the Church News. Read the article here.

President M. Russell Ballard, the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shared strong support of both BYU's and the Ballard Center for Social Impact's mission. The center is named after President Ballard's grandfather, Elder Melvin J. Ballard, who was also an apostle for The Church of Jesus Christ. President Ballard anchored his speech by focusing on how both BYU and the Ballard Center are helping shift students' focus from acquiring more things to helping more people. This is a key aspect of the faith that motivates the center's staff and students—as part of the family of children of God, we must prepare to serve and help each other lead flourishing lives.
