Lisa is passionate about helping entrepreneurs and leaders to become resilient in the face of challenges. She brings a deep understanding of resilience, leadership, and social impact to everything she does. She holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley, a master’s in international development from BYU, and a PhD in organizational behavior from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Throughout Lisa’s career, she has received 18 awards and published more than 40 works. She spent over a decade teaching at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and BYU, where she taught electives like Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Developing Economies. In 2021, she founded the Female Founders Project to help reshape the way women are represented in business education. Her current projects focus on building resilience in leaders and supporting female founders and refugee entrepreneurs. Lisa is known for her commitment to preparing students to create lasting change in the world.
