In this employee spotlight, Eva Witesman, director of the Ballard Center for Social Impact, shares insights on her career path and goals as a professor in the BYU Marriott MPA program.

As Director, Witesman has increased the Ballard Center’s focus on:

  • Faith-based social impact: Implementing faith skills in social impact work 
  • Collaboration: Connecting mission-driven organizations with each other, as well as BYU students 
  • Paradigm shifts: Changing the way we think about social issues and how we approach solving them 

Witesman is intentional in her work to strengthen connections among students, helping to create an environment where collaborative problem-solving can flourish. Within the MPA program she aligns her coursework with real-world skills, reinforces team-based learning, and prepares students for leadership roles across public, nonprofit, and business sectors.
