Rose's passion lies in creating meaningful connections that strengthen individuals, communities, and organizations. As the event coordinator for the Ballard Center, she designs experiences that inspire students to engage with social impact. Rose earned a degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations from BYU in 1984. As a student working for Brigham Young University Student Service Association (BYUSA), she chaired the seventh annual Women’s Conference and grew attendance sevenfold, from 1,000 to 7,000 participants, through crafting and sending individual invitations. With a background in recruitment, public affairs, and event planning, Rose is eager to mentor students in community engagement and outreach.
Rose launched her career in New York City as a recruitment manager for American Express, traveling nationwide and using her strengths in fostering connections with people. Rose met her husband and began growing her family in New York City. When Rose became a mother, she chose to step away from corporate life to raise her children and spent 25 years as a full-time mother and community leader. Her husband’s career eventually moved them to Redlands, California, where Rose brought together more than 145 entities to accomplish community projects. Rose was later named Redlands’ 2013 Woman of the Year.
