Christine Platt, PhD | Sleep Quality Among the Unhoused
The Problem

- Poor sleep contributes to poor physical and mental health outcomes
- Policy and shelter availability limit safe sleep options
Why It Matters

- Ability to make informed decisions
- More likely to hold on to positive relationships
- Greater capacity to achieve goals
What Works

- Community engagement - support from community members to change policy, city council member support, getting rid of stigma, etc.
What Now
- De-stigmatize and de-criminalize homelessness
- Increase awareness
